Mobile Casting Moulds:
The most common moulds for precast concrete items are “mobile” moulds, It is called mobile because it can easily be moved around by hand. For casting, the moulds are simply placed on a flat surface and filled with concrete. It is then vibrated, finished-off and cured.
Please note. Some products are cast or pressed in huge machines. The machines use integrated highly specialised moulds. Such moulds are useless without their machines. Examples are paving bricks and machine pressed kerbs. Ordinary wet-cast kerbs moulds are mobile and available.
Large flat products are manufactured on casting tables. The table is fixed but the mould sides are variable. Once again, the mould sides are of no use without the casting table. Both casting tables and mould sides are manufactured by Vanstone.
The selling of moulds is in Vanstone’s discretion. Vanstone reserves the right to refuse to quote or sell moulds if it deems that to be detrimental to its business otherwise.
