Description
Hand-cast precast concrete kerb stones are made in the traditional way. Wet concrete is poured into steel casting moulds, vibrated and removed when sufficient strength has developed. The resulting kerbs have a smooth finish in natural grey concrete colour.
Roadside kerbs are large and heavy to resist being moved around by vehicle wheels. Three basic types are used: barrier kerbs, semi-mountable kerbs and mountable kerbs. Barrier kerbs are not only effective vehicle wheel deflectors. It is also universally used to contain storm water running down the road. In so doing it leads the water to the next constructed outlet and prevents erosion of the road edge.
Edgings and small kerbs are suitable for pathways, driveways, lawn and bedding edges. It works well in any pedestrian or landscaping application. Small kerbs are available in grey only but some garden edgings may be ordered in earthy colours. Please enquire.
