Vanstone’s Robust Grid Covers are precast concrete storm water inlet covers for channels. The Robust Grid Covers are steel lined and reinforced. All steel is hot dipped galvanized.
Vanstone’s Robust Grid Covers are engineer-designed for the Customer’s application. Its unique features, purpose-design and great quality makes for heavy duty, robust and durable working grid covers that can take the punch.
Design loading: To SANS 50124 Gully tops and manhole tops for vehicular and
pedestrian areas – Design requirements … or as the Customer requires.
Concrete design: To SANS 0100 The structural use of concrete.

Advantages:
- It can take the load and will not fail in bending nor shear,
- It is steel lined. Corners and edges will not chip or spall under heavy vehicle wheel scoffing,
- All steel including reinforcing steel is hot dipped galvanized and corrosion resistant,
- Being made of concrete with little steel showing, it is not attractive to scrap metal thieves.
